"Tried out the new Mockingbird last night! This used to be Basque on Courtenay Place - well known for their epic sangria. Happy to report these guys are still doing Sangria, and also have a fully plant-based menu! This is definitely not my forte but I went in with an open mind and loved it. I got the ‘Cheeseburger’ with fries, and I was impressed! The texture and flavours of the ‘meat’ patty were so similar to that of a real patty. I also loved the tomato sauce they used, although it was quite rich so it might not be for everyone. The fries were total winners, beer battered and perfectly seasoned. My friend got the Burrito Bowl which she loved and I thought it was too pretty not to post a pic. Veg/vegan or not, definitely give this place a go!! 8.5/10 send 🍒"
