Waikato Foodie?
Tickets available HERE π» And now, a word from the hosts...π» "We are counting down to one of our most exciting events to date - on June 4th we will be hosting our first ever Waikato Food Forum! We're inviting local food producers and hospitality businesses to join each other alongside key regional stakeholders and exceptional guest speakers for an afternoon of co-creating the Waikato Food Story. This will be an afternoon of more than just food for thought!
The afternoon with be facilitated by Angela Clifford, CEO of ‘Eat New Zealand' @eat.newzealand - A movement initiated by chefs and people in the business of food, with the aim of highlighting the quality and vast array of edible resources available in New Zealand.
Guest speakers include Sarah Meikle, CEO of Visa Wellington on a Plate @wellyonaplate, an event that has successfully put Wellington on the international food map.
Wendy Voegelin, Growth Programme Specialist of Auckland Tourism Events & Economic Development, @visitauckland, will also be contributing to the day with her experience growing and promoting food businesses in Auckland.
A panel discussion will hear presentations from those involved in the economic, social and cultural development in the region, as well as local food producers and business owners. We all know the Waikato region has a wealth of world class producers and eateries but many of these go under the radar. Together we can change that and champion our region, our small producers, and businesses whilst creating a supportive network for us all to thrive. Our waka isn't waiting any longer, we're on the move! π» Make sure YOU are a part of this event, we need your voice, your ideas and we need you to come along and be inspired by other food champions!"
