Eat, Drink, Share, Hydrate

Hawkes Bay people: Click HERE for the Eat Drink Share Group pf cafes and eateries who all stock Sol water bottles and travel cups. Switching out single use for something beautfiul that you will use daily makes a massive impact on waste streams, landfill and in turn, will effect greenhouses gaes. We just ALL have to step up...

Give Away At Sip Kitchen...

To celebrate Organic Week, the Sip Kitchen people have some gorgeous give aways on their social media, click HERE to connect. They have also launched a superb initiative, adding 20c surcharge to throwaway coffee cups which will be donated to Durham Farms for tree planting. Thank you Sip.

Best Ugly Quote...

A word from our mates at Best Ugly Bagels: 🏆🌏  "Oh this guy? This is our little red basket, it's here for you whenever you eat at one of ours stores. It's another way we are working to reduce, reuse and recycle." 🏆🌏 See thier listings with us to get into Havana Coffee and bagels, zero waste.

That's pretty much it. Stop doing harm, while we can and it'll be sweet. And you can play your part today. It's vital but easy. Refuse single-use. Cut dairy and meat. Revise your idea of what the word 'need' means and then don't buy stuff you don't need. We're here for you, really, so talk to us. ⭐ Thanks to @visitstupiter for the pic and inspo

🌏 Earth Day 2019 / a celebration of the planet that sustains us & a time to reflect on the biggest issue facing our existence on Earth, Climate Change.⁣⁣ ♨️
The worlds leading scientists revealed we have just 12 years to curve climate change to a maximum of 1.5c. And with our current system & way of life we look to exceed well above this temp, if we don’t make drastic changes to the way we are living, consuming & most importantly what we are eating.⁣⁣
Did you know that Animal agriculture (meat dairy & eggs) is the biggest contributor to climate change, deforestation, species extinction & water pollution?⁣⁣
In NZ our Meat & Diary industry is responsible for 48% of the country’s greenhouse gas immersions!⁣⁣
The NZ DAIRY industry ALONE, is responsible for more emissions than the entire transport sector! (that’s all NZ’s planes, cars, trucks & trains combined)⁣⁣
The biggest misconception is that climate change is out of our control, yet the leading cause is what we are putting on our plate. ⁣⁣🍗🍳
Eliminating meat and dairy from your diet is the ‘single biggest way’ to reduce your impact on the planet. It is a CHOICE that we choose to make as a consumer, every day, 3 times a day, 365 days of the year. ⁣⁣
Eating a plant based (wholefoods) diet is not only better for the planet, but your health & longevity is statistically proven. It’s also better than buying a Tesla, installing solar, riding a bike to work or giving up hot showers… and its a hell of a lot quicker than waiting for politicians & government to implement change. ⁣⁣
Its direct action for the planet, with every meal you make.⁣⁣ 🌿
